Response Timing and Format. We will confirm receipt of your request to know, correct, delete, and/or seek any request under the relevant U.S. state privacy law(s) within ten (10) business days. If you do not receive confirmation within the 10-day timeframe, please contact us at privacy@cardsagainsthumanity.com. We endeavor to substantively respond to a verifiable consumer request within forty-five (45) days of receipt. If we require more time (up to another 45 days), we will timely inform you of the reason(s) and extension period in writing. We may choose to verify your identity before responding to any such request.
Any disclosures we provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding our receipt of your request. The response we provide will also explain the reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable. For data portability requests, we will select a format to provide your personal information that is readily usable and should allow you to transmit the information from one entity to another entity without hindrance.
We store your information primarily in the United States. Some information may be stored elsewhere. You authorize us to do so. The PII and other data we collect about you and your use of our Websites may be maintained in servers we control and maintain or in third-party servers. Cards Against Humanity does not store credit-card data. Customer encrypted credit-card data is securely stored and processed by our payment-processing vendor. We comply with United States privacy laws and regulations. We do not represent our Websites are governed by, or operated in accordance with, the laws of other nations or jurisdictions, or that the Websites or any portion of them are appropriate or available for use in any particular location. If you choose to access our Websites, you do so at your own risk, and you are responsible for complying with all local laws, rules, and regulations. By using the Websites, visitors to the Websites from outside the United States acknowledge and agree that our Websites are subject to United States laws and regulations, and waive any claims against us that may arise under their own national laws.
The information practices described above comply with U.S. federal law. Vermont law places additional limits on the sharing of your PII. In accordance with Vermont law, we will not disclose information we collect about Vermont residents to unaffiliated companies except as permitted by law, such as with the authorization or consent of the Vermont resident.
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the Websites.
